The Allen's
Josh and I met in January of 2012 at church. For Josh it was love at first site. Now for me- I was consumed with finishing college and starting my career. Josh still managed to pursue me first as a friend and by April of 2012, he asked me to be his girlfriend. My love grew for him almost instantly. By September of that year we were engaged and married on December 15th.
We have laughed more than I ever thought possible and shared our sorrows together. In the past 5 years we have lived in 2 apartments and purchased our first home (which started out as looking for an install shop for our business). We bought our building for our business on auction (for a whopping $100 bucks- I'll tell that story later) and renovated it.
We've furthered our knowledge for our careers. I finished my degree in Elementary Education and soon decided I'd rather help Josh grow our business. Josh is constantly learning and teaching himself more about business, screen printing & sign making. I decided to use my twin sisters graphic design degree, instead of my own. Ha! We have been working side-by-side for 4 and half years now.
We have traveled in Indiana, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Oregon. We've explored, gone to festivals, spent time with friends and family, went boating, and so much more together.
We have grieved the loss of loved ones together.
We have had years of amazing health and years of horrible health. We've struggled with infertility, endometriosis, diverticulitis, colon surgery, and a slew of other health issues all within a year.
We've celebrated the joy and fear of pregnancy, delivery, and being mom & dad to Josie Marie.
But most of all we've learned to love, prefer one another over ourselves, and devoted our love to one another. We make mistakes everyday, we fight & argue, we leave our clothes on the floor, & we eat out at restaurants entirely too much.
We should save more money, clean house more, and plan for our future a little bit more.
But this is us, the Allen's- sharing our life with you.
Thanks for reading!
